What is the difference between the Standard and Premium Packages?

The main difference between the packages is that with the Standard Package ($89) you ship us your baby artifacts and send us a link to any digital photos. We will email you all instructions and writing prompts. With the Premium Package ($139), we ship you an 18x24x4 crush-free box that includes all instructions, printed writing prompts, and a USB for digital photos. There's a prepaid shipping label for you to return your items. With both packages, we ship your artifacts back to you after creating your book.

Can I order extra books or a reprint of my book?

We securely store your baby book’s digital files after the book is printed so you can easily order new books any time for $59 each. Reprints are perfect for giving the book as a gift or if your book becomes damaged. If you would like a book reprinted, simply email ubb@artkivebox.com. Reprints take about 2 weeks to complete.

Baby’s items are precious to me. How do I know you’ll take good care of them?

Our team is expertly trained to handle your baby’s precious memories, artifacts and keepsakes with the utmost care. We also carefully repackage your baby items to mail everything back to you.

What do you recommend I send in, and how much does it cost?

There are so many artifacts associated with the baby's first year (and before the baby is born). You can send baby's footprints, umbilical cords, favorite lovies or outfits, baby hats, birth announcements, and anything else that can fit into the box. We will provide a list of suggested items. We also recommend using the USB included to load up photos of the baby's first year or sending us a link to a Google Drive or Dropbox folder of images. We can weave together a beautiful book combining photos and artifacts. The Ultimate Baby Book standard package is $89, the premium package is $139. Both packages include 40 items; additional items can be sent for $2 per item and $0.50 per photo. Additional copies of your book cost $69.

Tell me more about the book.

The book is 8x8 hardcover with archival lay-flat pages. They are securely bound in buckram or leather, with a 3.5 x 3.5 image of your baby showcased on the front (you'll have the option to select which image and a cover color). Books are typically a maximum of 40 pages. Depending on how many items you send, you'll have one or more images per page.

Will I be able to review my book before it goes to print?

Yes, we will send you a book proof before your book goes to print. One round of revisions with no more than five changes is included. Additional changes requested will incur an extra charge of $2 per change.

Can I give this as a gift?

Yes! Our Ultimate Baby Books are super popular and thoughtful books. Parents are often too busy to put a book like this together, but they still really care about celebrating their memories. It's a win win! We have Ultimate Baby Book gift cards on the Gifts page. You can also ship the starter kit directly to your recipient and use the Gift Message field in the cart to include a note, or you can send the kit to yourself to give to your recipient directly.

How long will the process take?

Once we receive your items back, our process typically takes around six weeks with an additional 1-2 weeks to print and ship the book.

Can’t I just do this myself?

You're raising tiny humans which is really time consuming. We're experts at the photography, editing, and book design process! We use top-of-the-line equipment, lighting, and software to create the highest quality images of your special artifacts. We promise you'll be pleased with the final product and the fact that you didn't have to do all of the work.
