A Mom's Perspective on the Ultimate Baby Book Process
Adrienne here! When the Ultimate Baby Book team asked me if I would tell other moms about my experience with the process, I said of course. My Ultimate Baby Book has quickly become one of my prized possessions, and I want to let other parents know how easy it is to put the book together
1. Receiving the box
I got the Ultimate Baby Book package as a gift at my baby shower! I thought it was such a thoughtful gift, but I had no idea truly how useful it would be. The package had a pretty much immediate payoff, since the gifter suggested we fill out one of the prompts that's for friends and family during the second half of the baby shower! It's basically a letter to your baby from each friend, about how they know the parents, their hopes for baby’s life, and any advice they have. Such a fun activity, and I know our son will love reading all the letters from those who love him as he gets older (that are so nicely captured in the baby book)!
2. Packing/organizing
The first thing I packed was ultrasound photos that I had been saving throughout my pregnancy, in addition to the letters from my baby shower. After we brought our son home, I packed his hospital bracelets and hat! We also included a diaper (clean, of course) from each time he sized up, and a pair of his tiny, cute little booties! And before you even ask how I could part with all this stuff, the Ultimate Baby Book team returns everything after photographing it, and the return cost is included in the package. In my opinion, this is one of the best parts– I could send whatever I wanted, and I knew I would get it back safely. Because of this, we also sent one of his blankies, knowing we'd get it back!
We also added our digital photos from the birth and first year to the included USB drive, which was super convenient. I had so many photos clogging up my phone, so I loved that the Ultimate Baby Book team could easily include those in my book. The last thing we included were the cards that our son got for his first birthday. I felt like they were such a nice "full circle" moment with the letters he had been written at our baby shower! This way, our book begins and ends with kind words from everyone who loves our son.
3. Sending it back
Because my friend got me the full Ultimate Baby Book premium package, it came with the box to pack our keepsakes in and a shipping label to send it back, which was super convenient. Although it was a little emotional to send all our memories away, we knew the end result would be so worth it!
4. Receiving our book
After we sent in our box, we were waiting excitedly while the Ultimate Baby Book team photographed our keepsakes and put together our personalized baby book. When we got the book, it was so much better than we could have ever imagined. To see all of our precious memories from our son's first year laid out in such a beautiful book was totally overwhelming! My husband and I were so emotional, and proud of our whole parenthood journey so far. We know this will be a special heirloom in our family for years to come. We even got a copy for both sets of grandparents for the holidays!
That's pretty much it! Overall, the process was super easy and low-stress while we navigated being new parents. I know I wouldn't have had the time to put something like this together myself while taking care of my son and working, so I loved how hands-off I got to be while still getting that amazing, personalized keepsake.
